Wordle

Wordle is the world's favorite word puzzle. Your goal is simple: guess the hidden 5-letter word in six attempts. After each guess, the colors of the tiles tell you how close you are — green means the letter is in the right position, yellow means it is in the word but in the wrong position, and gray means it is not in the word at all. A brand-new Wordle appears every day at midnight, and your progress is saved automatically.

How to Play Wordle

1. A new puzzle is generated every day based on the date — everyone gets the same Wordle.
2. Type a 5-letter word using your keyboard or the on-screen keys, then press Enter.
3. Green tiles show correct letters in the correct position.
4. Yellow tiles show letters that are in the word but placed wrongly.
5. Gray tiles show letters that are not in the word.
6. You have six guesses. Win by finding the word before you run out!

Tips & Strategies

Start with a word containing common vowels like E, A and O, for example "crane" or "slate". Use your first two guesses to cover many common letters at once, then use the color feedback to lock positions. Avoid repeating letters you know are gray.
